1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Unlocked mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Unlocked. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms.
3. Wellness Disclaimer
Unlocked provides screen-time tools, habits, and challenges for informational and wellness purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or behavioral advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have concerns about compulsive device use or your mental health, please consult a qualified professional.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you voluntarily choose to participate in any habits or challenges suggested by the app, and that Unlocked is not responsible for any outcomes that may result.
4. Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.
5. License to Use the Service
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non‑commercial use.
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Use the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of Unlocked require a paid subscription (such as Unlocked Pro). Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. When you subscribe, you authorize the applicable charge to your Apple ID at the price disclosed at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.
Prices, subscription terms, and billing cycles will be disclosed at the time of purchase and may be updated from time to time. Any changes will apply to future billing periods.
7. User Content
You may submit content such as habit logs, notes, and feedback ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to use, store, display, and analyze User Content solely for operating and improving the Service.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit User Content and that it does not:
- Infringe any third‑party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Contain unlawful, harmful, or abusive material.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding User Content) are owned by Unlocked or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The Unlocked name, logo, and related marks are our trademarks and may not be used without our prior written consent.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden our systems.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or other users' accounts.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
10. Third‑Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to third‑party services, including Apple Screen Time and the App Store. We do not control and are not responsible for those third‑party services, and your use of them is subject to their terms and policies.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unlocked and its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
In no event shall our total liability for all claims relating to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid, if any, for access to the Service during the six (6) months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $50.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Unlocked and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a harmful or unlawful way.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
